Project Overview:

I was the Art Director for Floorcraft: Blasters, an Augmented Reality Mobile game using Matterless's Shared AR capabilities. The app was conceived as a proof of concept and is available to download on IOS devices through the App Store. The core gamification took many forms over the development period, all vehicle-themed, with the 'Blasters' Toon-style anime aesthetic being the final coat of paint given before development paused. I worked with a small team, developing all the in-game and social/brand assets and contextualised the designs with some intergalactic world-building.

One of the core defence game modes sees users defend their personal energy harvester, situated on an alien desert planet while fighting off hordes of dangerous life forms. After placing an Energy harvester in AR in the middle of the play space, friends can seamlessly join by scanning a QR code on the host app screen, empowering authentic real-time AR multiplayer experiences.
